HOME OF SARATOGA POLO SCHOOL
Patagonia Farm—named for the South American territory known for its wild natural beauty—is a picturesque polo hideaway comprising 32-plus acres of tree-bordered farmland, just minutes from Downtown Saratoga Springs and the historic Saratoga Race Course. The farm is home to both Saratoga Polo School and the associated Spa City Polo Club. The property houses a newly complete regulation size arena, a refurbished 20-stall stable, an outdoor training ground, and a compact polo field, ensuring players are never out of the action.
Saratoga Polo School offers polo lessons to riders—and non-riders—of all levels under the careful tutelage of Argentinian-born, licensed polo instructor Mario Dino. His ability to share his passion and love for the sport is evidenced by his wide variety students, varying from all walks of life, brought together by the joy of polo.
At Saratoga Polo School, we believe horsemanship is fundamental to any great polo player. We ensure all our students respect and learn to care for their most important teammate—the four-legged athlete. We also believer wholeheartedly that polo is a sport anyone can enjoy playing, regardless of age or background!

Mario Dino Di Salvo
Owner & Instructor
He's a native of Argentina, and acquired his love of horses and his passion for polo while growing up on his grandfather's farm in Buenos Aires. He has spent his life working with horses, breeders, trainers and professional polo players. Mario is a member of the Professional Polo Circuit and spent decades playing polo all over the world. He is also a USPA-Certified Polo Instructor.
In 2010, Mario decided to open the Saratoga Polo School to share his knowledge of the game. Since its inception, the school has provided a venue to train, educate and encourage students to enjoy the sport. Mario is well-known for his contagious enthusiasm, earnest nature, and the natural ease with which he approaches polo. He has a gift for inspiring a connection to the game of polo and fostering a devotion to the sport that lasts a lifetime.

Shannon Hilderbrant
Manager & Instructor
Shannon Hildebrandt grew up riding horses, trying everything from pony club to barrel racing to guiding treks in The Southern Alps of New Zealand. She spent most of her youth and college years in North Carolina before moving to Chicago where she started working for GOJO. In 2017 they moved her to Saratoga Springs and Shannon knew she had found somewhere new to call home. Mario and Shannon met in 2020 and immediately hit it off over their love of horses and hard work! She quickly found a new passion in polo and in 2022 Shannon quit her corporate job to help Mario Dino run the polo school full time. If you’ve ever emailed, texted, or called the club you have probably spoken with Shannon. Somewhere between the chuckers she is also a top female hydrofoiler and a published author. Find her at the club for a copy of her first novel, Oxygen!
